IV Control Panel for Intrvenous delivery

The purpose of this control panel is to deliver solutions intraveniously in hospitals. There are graphics on the control panel representing both the primary and secondary solution containers. Within each of these two graphics are the controls (membrane switches) and displays for the volume of solution to be delivered and rate of delivery in milliliters per hour. Below each container graphic is a linear array of green light emitting diodes (LED's) that sequencially illuminate in a downward motion at a rate in proportion to the rate of solution delivery selected.

Andy LeCocq received a patnet for this control panel design (US Patent No. 4,553,958) - Intravenous Delivery Controller Graphic Display Control Panel.

A technical Article was written in the Journal of clinical Engineering, Vol 12, No 4, July-August 1987 regarding this control panel design.
