Front End Loader Accident
A customer was obtaining used pipe which was being picked up by an articulated front end loader and was to be placed in his truck. When the front end loader operator offered to give the customer a ride, he climbed onto the front end loader and placed his legs over one of the steps. With the leg in this position the knee and lower leg extend into the opening between the two articulating sections of the loader. The customer was not aware of how this machine would operate and how the two sections would come together. When the loader turned, the two sections came together and crushed his leg resulting in severe permenant injuries. This warning should have been placed on this machine.
